Mr. W. Scott Reid III
W. Scott Reid III is a Senior Foreign Service Officer and the U.S. State Department Advisor to the U.S. Army Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute (PKSOI). Most recently, he served as the U.S. State Department Office Director for Central Asia from 2016-18 and the Director for Counter-Narcotics and Justice Assistance at U.S. Embassy Kabul from 2015-2016. He has served in the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, U.S. Mission to NATO, and the U.S. Embassy in The Hague, as well as serving as Consul/Principal Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Adana, Turkey. He also was the U.S. Deputy Permanent Representative to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva. He is a former U.S. Navy officer and also has worked in the information technology sector in private industry.
